Our History
Carrying forward the Ziggys construction legacy
The Ziggys construction story began in 1979 with Billy “Ziggy” Ziegenfuss, whose work established the trade relationships, reputation and construction legacy behind the name.
Following Ziggy’s passing in 2024, Matthew A. Young Sr. carried that legacy forward under Ziggys General Contracting LLC. The current company combines those longstanding construction roots with a modern commercial-construction operating model focused on planning, accountability, documentation and disciplined project execution.
ZGC today serves commercial and government clients across Dallas-Fort Worth and Texas while preserving the family-operated character and practical construction experience associated with the Ziggys name.

Owner and Chief Executive Officer Matthew A. Young Sr. retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of active-duty service. His leadership approach emphasizes planning, accountability, risk control, communication and mission completion.
